So Nikolas was right. Lagouvardos does have some of the best waves in Greece! We had a super fun day on the water. Although, I must confess, the weather has been crazy cold (35 degrees) and rainy, which I never expected….but it must’ve helped the swell. I cannot believe that I am writing this but there were actually some barrels!
My brothers Luke and Zach joined me in the water to catch some fun waves and even our younger brother Dawson dropped in for a few.
Nikolas said that this was the best conditions they probably had in 3-4 years and it’s super rare to get barrels. Lucky us!
I still am in awe of being here, all of us having this experience. I am really grateful for the opportunities surfing brings. I know Yiya is looking over us and brought the conditions for us to be able to make something sweet stuff happen.
The next day the conditions were still pretty good. It was a bit smaller but still super fun and we had the beach almost to ourselves! There was only one local surfer there that morning.
Everyone must’ve been tired from the day before! Haha All the local surfers have been super friendly so that’s been awesome part too.
Now we are headed to another place called Crete. We have to take a 9 hot boat ride with our cars to get there and sleep on the boat overnight. It will be cool because that’s definitely a new experience. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
In search of the next wave….until later.
