We are proud to announce that on Tuesday morning, March 8th, 2016 Australia’s Gold Coast was officially dedicated as the Eighth World Surfing Reserve. This public ceremony was held at Point Danger Park, where Premier of Queensland, Annastacia Palaszczuk, formally dedicated the 16 kilometres of Gold Coast beaches as the next World Surfing Reserve.
Hundreds gathered to help celebrate this newly appointed coastline. Many of the surf industry leaders were in attendance as well as Save The Waves Coalition Executive Director Nik Strong-Cvetich and International Surfing Association President Fernando Aguerre.
