Surfing has become one of the most recognized international water sports, yet it’s pretty obvious that if you don’t live near an ocean, you can’t experience the same joy. However, that is no longer the case. Thanks to wave pool advancements, and a growing interest in the sport itself, places like Wales have opened inland wave pools for everyone to enjoy.
During the opening weekend of Surf Snowdonia (July 30th, 2015) located in North Wales, Kalani Robb and GoPro CEO Nick Woodman tested the waters, and were pleasantly surprised by the wave pool’s consistency and overall design. The wave garden has waves of varying size, and skill level, making it a perfect spot for those wanting to learn the basics or for those wanting to practice any maneuver.
