The Inertia presents the ( Headspace ) interview series, this week featuring Hurley surfer and philanthropist, Adrian “Ace” Buchan (AUS). Hanging out at Lower Trestles during the Hurley Pro in 2013, Buchan opened up about his views on life, death and traveling the world. He lives to search for the true meaning of happiness and has found that it has nothing to do with how much a person has, but more about how they live their life.
Ace is an ambassador for the Inspire Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in Australia that increases young people’s knowledge of mental health, wellbeing and ensures that they feel less alone. Inspired by children around the world who are happy to play outside with their scraps that they turned into toys, Buchan has been able to open his eyes to the endless possibilities of the world.
Ace has also written a children’s book titled “Macka’s Barrel into the Dreamtime,” which deals with Indigenous and Anglo-Saxon relations as well as environmental issues.
