Nothing is more trendy than drinking coconut water. From London, Paris, Dubai, Hong Kong, Los Angeles to New York, there’s an insatiable demand for the stuff and its commanding posh prices. Yet, way before your local grocery store started carrying bottled coconut water, it was the go-to drink for surfers throughout the tropics. Surfers had tapped into the benefits of drinking coconut water long before the general public. On Asu Island, Local Style mounted a camera on a local coconut picker to get a bird’s-eye view of what it takes to get fresh, young coconut water.
