What could be sweeter than capturing your best wave on camera? A picture to take home is the ultimate surf trip souvenir. You can always find photos of Kelly, Parko, and John John killing it… but many surfers without the media entourage don’t always have the opportunity to learn from watching their technique in the water. At Uluwatu, the locals are capturing the snap, the barrel, the spray or even the wipeout of every surfer with their telephoto lenses high above the break. Then they come chase you down to buy their work for only a few dollars per shot.
LOCAL STYLE‘s Mike Rodger takes you to the place where it all goes down at Uluwatu in Bali, Indonesia.
