Explore the world’s top surf destinations in “LOCAL STYLE,” a new original series on The Surf Channel featuring the premiere waves in Bali, Indonesia as the first of several eco travel destinations. Produced and directed by journalist, NamHee Han, and hosted by lifelong waterman and surfer Mike Rodger, “LOCAL STYLE” hunts down the world’s top destinations for surfers on a mission to travel to remote waves and experience the culture back on the sand.
“LOCAL STYLE” Episode 2 profiles Indonesian big wave surfer, Made Lana. The local legend shreds Uluwatu and runs a very successful cafe just above the pristine break. Made Lana is the surfer every local kid wants to become. Listen to an inspiring story about the good things that can happen when a tourist takes five minutes out of their surf trip to help push a child on a wave. It can change a life forever.
