Sunset Beach hosted powerful surf for Day #2 of the Vans World Cup of Surfing. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing‘s second stop at Sunset Beach is celebrating their 38th year in existence and welcomes some of the best competitors to compete at the challenging line up. With wave face heights up to 15ft on Friday, the local Hawaiian crew prevailed in the shifting surf along with the visiting Australian competitors. Check out some of the best moments caught by Surf Channel photographers, Hale Metzger and Shannon Quirk. Competition is likely to resume Monday morning depending on swell conditions.
