Dusty Payne is revving up for the next World Tour event, and what better training grounds then a sunset sesh at Pipe? Early Saturday evening, Payne was captured enjoying beautiful sets at Pipeline to stay sharp for the upcoming 9th stop on the ASP World Championship Tour. The young Hawaiian has been hopping around Haleiwa, Sunset and Pipeline for the past few days perfecting his already vicious arsenal of maneuvers.
Just one year ago, Payne injured his ankle at The Lane during the 2011 O’Neill Coldwater Classic and worsened the situation by participating in the winter season in Hawaii, putting him out for several of the 2012 events thereafter. The Surf Channel images below by Hawaiian staff photographer, Hale Metzger, prove he is back in form.
