Known as “JamStar” to Northern California locals, Jamilah Star is one of the leading ladies at the Mavericks surf break in Half Moon Bay. Famous for courageously surfing the cold waters of Santa Cruz year round in only a bikini, JamStar was interviewed by The Go Big Project‘s popular web show, “Mavericks Moments,” in order to share her story. She explained what surfing these intense waves means to her and the energy of the wave that keeps her going. Mavericks is the wave she’s trained for her entire life, and it’s what she lives for.
