Big congrats to Ventura local Dane Reynolds for claiming the official wildcard into the 2013 Hurley Pro. Australian surfer Luke Davis finished runner-up. Dane even started an Instagram account this month (@sealtooth) to push some social media buzz for the trail video content. With a healthy 17K followers with only 10 posts, he’s off to a good start. Dane is sure to attract dedicated fans to Lower Trestles in September to watch the main event.

Lower Trestles, arguably California’s best surf spot, will once again welcome the top 34 surfers in the world to her high performance break for the Hurley Pro, waiting period September 15-21 2013. With just 3 competitions following, the Hurley Pro at Trestles will serve as an important factor for athletes scratching their way into the Top 5.
