Personally, I’ve owned almost every brand of suit. This comes with being a surfer for many MANY years, not because I need the latest and greatest. Owning multiple suit styles, brands etc has really helped me narrow in what I want and like best in a suit.
Through much trial and error over the years, I’ve found that in colder conditions although thickness is important, I am looking for flex which will improve my overall performance and comfortability.
New this season, our latest neoprene-free Yulex full suits are stretchier, lighter and more comfortable, far surpassing our previous standards of performance. For our wetsuit developers and testers, function always comes first. Simply put:
It has more stretch, an improved fit, lighter weight material, more comfort, and guaranteed durability.

The High Seas Drainer 4/3 Full Suit is a no-brainer for surfers catching waves in colder water temperatures. This suit from Vissla is renowned for its insulation which does not restrict you or your maneuverability in the water. The High Seas Drainer is durable while remaining lightweight and easy to wear.
Warm, stretchy and easy to maintain
Made with 100% foam neoprene, the High Seas Drainer is lightweight with superior warmth and comfort. The thermal Brain Fuzz lining of the suit acts as an insulator which traps heat and dries fast after being rinsed through. Vissla has used their Dope Dyed Fabric for a softer, more eco-friendly colorant on their wetsuits which is resistant to fading.
Durable material and an excellent fit
The High Seas Drainer is one of Vissla’s most lightweight and flexible suits which has been improved for easier movement. With minimal seams and anatomically engineered body lines, you will have an unrestricted performance and warmth. The wetsuit has been triple glued and double blind stitched at the seams to ensure durability and longevity. Vissla’s Neo 2.0 super stretch tape allows for extra stretch while ensuring the suit goes back to its original shape and does not tear. The chest zip entry allows for minimal bulk and a contoured watertight design. To prevent flushing Vissla have used liquid taped cuff seals and Glideskin on the neck of the High Seas Drainer.
