World Junior Champions to be Crowned Today
Bombo Beach Kiama, NSW/AUS (Monday, January 9, 2017) – The WSL World Junior Championship at Kiama NSW are set to be completed today meaning both Men’s and Women’s 2016 World Junior Champions will be crowned this afternoon at the beautiful Bombo Beach.
With the swell fading and an unpromising forecast, event directors have decided to run through and complete the event today.
Women’s semifinal No.1 is in the water now.
Semifinal match up’s are as follows:
SF 1: Mahina Maeda (HAW) vs. Brisa Hennessy (AUS)
SF 2: Macy Callaghan (AUS) vs. Ariane Ochoa (EUK)
SF 1: Cody Young (HAW) vs. Ethan Ewing (AUS)
SF2: Finn McGill (HAW) vs. Griffin Colapinto (USA)

The WSL World Junior Championships has been secured for Kiama by the NSW Government, through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. The event will run from January 4-13 2017.
