2016 may not be the best year of Steph’s career, but she was able to salvage the year with an impressive win at the Women’s Pipe Invitational. The six-time world champion was able to leave Pipeline with a smile on her face, having fended off Carissa Moore and Tyler Wright in the final heat. Steph posted a 17.0 final heat including an amazing 9.0 ride, where she unleashed a series vertical snaps and extremely smooth rail-carves. The 17.0 heat was more than enough to take home the win.
Steph had nothing but respect for Moore and Wright after the invitational as she considers them two of the best in the game, but was also quick to point out that it felt good to get back on track and finish off 2016 with some momentum.
