The predicted XL El Niño swells have finally arrived and it’s first destination is Banzai, Pipeline. The swell forecast exhibits fair to good conditions with wave heights at 20-25 feet occasional 30 foot faces. Although the size seems favorable, tomorrow is a completely different story. In fact, it might even be on a whole other level. Although Pipeline will lose some size, it will still remain triple overhead. Additionally, this NW swell mixed with variable winds will create the best rip-able conditions on the outer reef.
The powerful swell is expected to hold for approximately 7 days. This is the El Niño that everyone had anticipated for all winter long. Now let’s see what it has in store for us.
