Building over the last couple of days, a massive north swell has finally peaked its ugly head and released its wrath on the Ventura Pier early this morning. Officers cordoned off the pier, confirming that there was physical damage done to the structure due to the massive waves.
Even some of the beachfront homes along the coast of Ventura were effected by the huge waves. As the powerful surf toppled over the cement blockage into driveways and neighborhoods. This is a WNW swell mixed with a secondary SSW swell fueled by NW/WNW winds. We hope Ventura locals stay safe and dry during this high surf advisory.
