Earlier today on the North Shore of Oahu, Evan Geiselman was surfing 20-foot Pipeline and experienced a horrific wipeout. Evan took off on a heavy wave that closed out and threw him straight to the bottom. He hit his head and was held underwater for the three-wave set that followed. The blow to his head knock Geiselman unconscious and was fished out of the water by bodyboarder and friend Andre Botha. Botha kept Geiselman above water as he swam to shore where the beach lifeguards took over the rescue. Evan was immediately transported to the hospital where he remains stable yet in critical condition. Our thought and prayers go out to Evan, his family, and friends.
