Congratulations to Carissa Moore for winning the 2015 world title and the Target Maui Pro. Today Moore’s hard work and dedication paid off as she claimed two back-to-back wins in Maui. The race for the title came down to a heat between Coco Ho and Courtney Conlogue in round four. The two were neck-and-neck throughout the entire 35-minute heat, anticipation and anxiety building in the crowd as everyone feverishly watched Moore’s reaction from the big screen. Coco Ho ultimately took the win, knocking Conlogue out of the running and crowing Carissa Moore champion.
After her title win, Moore threw on jersey and surfed her heat in the Target Maui Pro ultimately taking the win against Sally Fitzgibbons. Neither of the surfers were willing to go down without a fight. Sally put up some great scores, but Carissa laid all the cards on the table when she scored a perfect 10, giving her the edge she needed to win the heat. What a comeback for surfer Carissa Moore and her journey to her third world title. Once again, Moore is back on top!
