Newcastle native Philippa Anderson is a crazy talented 23-year-old surfer, who had an incredibly successful Pro Junior Tour career. Born originally in South Africa, Philippa has now been in Australia for 12 years, surfing alongside the likes of Mark Richard and Matt Hoy, both incredibly talented surfers and mentors.
Philippa missed qualifying for the WCT by a mere two places in 2012, leading to her losing her primary sponsor. This left her with one idea, and a bright one: a campaign via Indiegogo to raise funds for the talent and lifelong dream she’s always held close to her heart, to compete on the WSL World Championship Tour. Anderson is reaching out to fans and fellow female athlete advocates to help her raise her financial goal to be able to continue to pursue her dreams.
Not only is Philippa a natural born shredder in the water, but also a humble athlete that craves to compete at the best surf breaks around the world against the top female surfers.
