You know it’s a massive swell when the top big wave surfers in the world aren’t able to ride out of the few waves they catch. When you’re dealing with one of the heaviest beach breaks in the world though, that’s the sheer nature of the game.
Puerto Escondido welcomed the largest swell in at least two decades to Zicatela Beach coastline for three solid days. Though ‘Domingo Grande’ was the biggest day, wipeouts were treacherous throughout the swell that caused flooding in the streets of Oaxaca.
