A woman was found face down about 200 yards off shore on Wednesday after snorkeling with two friends at a popular tourist location knowns as ‘Dumps’ on the island of Maui. Severe wounds to her upper torso give experts reasonable assumption that the 65-year-old woman was a victim to a shark attack.
Though emergency responders arrived quickly to the scene, the local resident of Kihei did not survive. According to FOX News, the Department of Land and Natural Resources closed beaches from La Perouse Bay to Big Beach, Makena and Kihei.
