We got to see a different side of 2014 World Champion Gabriel Medina after round 3 of the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast. During his heat up against Glenn Hall, Medina was given an interference and went on to lose the heat, but not before exchanging a few words with his opponent Glenn Hall. Later in Medina’s post heat interview with Peter Mel, the young Brazilian went on to dispute the call and the new WSL rule.
“First of all, that was a really bad call for the comp,” Medina stated in the interview. He went on to say, “Second was the interference. One day I will try to understand this new rule. The third is, next time Glenn Hall says ‘f*ck you’ to me, I’ll teach him some…”
The world may never really know what Medina wanted to teach Hall, because his time on the live web cam was cut short by host, Peter Mel. There is no doubt Medina stirred some heat on social media with his comments.
