The first ever New York surf thriller, EMPIRE NOW embodies the care-free personalities of the NY surf community. NYSEA and Transition Productions teamed up to produce the new surf film featuring a mix of surfers from every beach in NY from Rockaway to Montauk. Footage includes epic tube riding, giant slab tow-ins, big wave paddle-ins and progressive aerial skills from New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Indonesia, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Tahiti and Nicaragua.

Using the unique landscapes and culture of New York, this new film combines a fast paced thriller with high action surf. Starring many of New York’s premiere surfers, including: Balaram Stack, Will Skudin, Leif Engstrom, Kurt Rist, TJ Gumiela, Brian Pollack, Cliff Skudin, Zach Dayton, Dylan Stott, Tyler Maguire, and many more — with guest appearances from NYSEA friends Garrett McNamara, Kealii Mamala and Tamayo Perry.
EMPIRE NOW will be world premiering during the 2014 New York Surf Week (presented by NYSEA & Hurley) at The Villian in Brooklyn on Thursday, 7/17 and at The Sands in Atlantic Beach on Sunday, 7/20.
