Vince “The Godfather” Collier is a prominent figure in Santa Cruz surfing, this week’s legendary guest on Off The Lip Radio Show. Growing up on the West side of the Northern California surf town, Vince Collier played a staring role in Joshua Pomer’s film, The Westsiders, telling the story of four top surfers bonded by common tragedy and their love of surfing.
To surf the notorious Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz locals had to earn respect from ‘The Westsiders‘ surf tribe and go face to face with Vince Collier, aka “The Godfather of The Westside”. Vince, a massive brute force, ran Steamer Lane with his own version of street justice.
