The Volcom Pipe Pro 2014 held excellent 8-12ft conditions for the final day of the event held on Oahu’s North Shore. Kelly Slater (USA), Wiggolly Dantas (BRA), Mason Ho (HAW), and Adriano de Souza (BRA) all battled their way to the finals. 11x ASP World Champion, Kelly Slater kicked off the heat with a high score of 9.53 that immediately put pressure on the rest of the competitors and no one was able to top it. De Souza came close with an 8.43 in the latter part of the heat, but was unable to get the back up score he needed to defeat Dantas or Slater.

Slater locked down his 8th win at the Banzai Pipeline for his entire career and documented his 66th Association of Surfing Professionals tour win. Though the World Tour has yet to kick off for the 2014 season, Slater has already given fans an excellent foreshadowing of how the rest of the year will play out.
