Pumping Pipeline barrels and plenty of Backdoor opportunities made for a historic final day of the Volcom Pipe Pro, an ASP 5-star event hosted on the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawai’i. Reigning Pipe Master and 11X World Champion, Kelly Slater (HAW), took the victory over local favorite Mason Ho (HAW), and Brazilian chargers Wiggolly Dantas and Adriando de Souza in a stacked final heat.
Slater claimed that Wednesday’s action included three of his best waves of the winter. Quite a day…

Check out Kelly Slater’s warrior profile, and hear about his favorite session at Pipeline:
2014 Champion Kelly Slater is arguable the best surfer at Pipeline, but if someone could put him on his toes, it was definitely North Shore local Mason Ho. His outstanding performance made Ho the competitor to watch from Day 1.
The second place finisher was Brazilian Wiggolly Dantas, who spends the majority of his winter on the North Shore charging the biggest swells.
Congrats to the finalists and all the Volcom Pipe Pro warriors!
Our hearts go out to Maui native Ola Eleogram, who fractured his ankle in a wipeout during the event.
