We are sad to report about actor and avid surfer Paul Walker‘s tragic passing over the weekend. Walker, 40, and his friend Roger Rodas, 38, went out for a joy ride in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT while attending a charity event for Paul’s organization, Reach Out Worldwide. The ride tragically ended when the driver, Roger Rodas, lost control of the vehicle crashing it into a tree, setting the car into flames, taking both passengers lives.
According to a ABC new press release the LASD Sheriffs Department responded to a traffic collision around 3:30pm in Valencia. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, but both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Walker was best known for his accomplishments in ‘The Fast And The Furious’ film series and was one of America’s most beloved actors. Not only was he a great actor, but he was a humanitarian, marine biologist, sportsman, father and friend.
America first fell in love with Paul when he landed his first major role in 1999 in Varsity Blues. He was world famous for his staring role in ‘The Fast And The Furious‘ film series, with the ‘Fast & Furious 7’ still set to hit theaters in July of 2014.
This past July, Paul Walkter tweeted: “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
REST IN PARADISE! Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
