In an effort to #SaveTrestles permanently, it has been announced that the The Hurley Pro auction has raised nearly $15,000 for the San Onofre Foundation, thanks to five generous surfers and many other donors. The top 5 winners are given an exclusive surf session at Lower Trestles with Hurley surfer, Rob Machado, during the Hurley Pro event.
Some of the winners are planning on “sponsoring” a family or local kid rather than surfing in the event. Buggs, from Southern California, is planning on surfing “depending on the conditions,” however, if the surf is small, he will be donating his spot to “a grom on the beach.”
Whereas Mike Harvison cannot wait to paddle out with Rob and is flying out from his hometown in Colleyville, Texas for the opportunity!
Another winner, Matt Brower from San Diego, CA, plans on giving his surf session to someone as a surprise.
In addition to the surf session with Rob Machado, the top 5 winners will be receiving a Hurley Pro gift pack, a San Onofre gift pack, VIP treatment, as well as being featured on the live webcast.
