No more complaining about the Southern California lack of swell… One of the most prestigious events in volleyball, known as the Manhattan Beach Open, hits Los Angeles County this weekend for a packed event in the summer sun. The second stop on AVP Pro Tour presented by IMG Worldwild will feature athletes like Kerri Walsh-Jennings, Sean Rosenthal, Jake Gibb, April Ross and many more top professionals. With the largest prize purse in Manhattan Beach Open history of $200,000, a Manhattan Beach Open title and a plaque on the Volleyball Walk of Fame on the line, you won’t want to miss out on this exciting battle!

The qualifying rounds begin August 23rd on the south side of the Manhattan Beach pier, just minutes away from local beach break, El Porto. Saturday will see tons more action as both men and women hit the arena for the elimination tournament. The Finals will take place Sunday afternoon with an awards ceremony to follow.
