The winners of the 2013 SMASH FEST Film Festival have been announced in various categories, and the fierce competition of some films snagged multiple awards. New York’s SMASH FEST ran for one month and spanned from coast to coast looking for the best surf films. All of the winning films from this year’s festival will be receiving a SOLOSHOT in order to help grow their collection of film-making equipment.
Bending Colours, a biopic on South African WCT surfer Jordy Smith by Kai Neville and Red Bull Media House, dominated the festival after sweeping 3 awards: Best in Show, Best Surfing Performance and Most Stoked Award. Check out the brilliant work of these award-winning surf filmmakers below.
