Little wahine, Lily Richards, is an advocate for organic foods and preserving the ocean, her favorite place in the world. At 9-years-old, she started The Sea Appreciation Project to promote organic eating because she has severe allergies to chemicals and pesticides used in non-organic farming. When it rains, chemicals pollute the water that runs into the ocean making it unhealthy for the public to surf, including Lily.
Her playground is the beach and she is passionate about keeping the water clean and uncontaminated for sea animal’s like her turtle friend “Honu.” Watch this heartwarming video of the young energetic advocate, Lily Richards, as she tells her story of why we should eat organic foods to help stop water pollution.
