Thursday May 30, 2013 Club Nokia will host the 9th Annual MusicCares Map Fund Benefit Concert. Stand-up comedian and Mad TV regular Bobby Lee will be hosting the event. The evening’s exciting lineup includes Dean and Robert Deleo, Eric Kretz, Duff McKagan, Chester Bennington, Tony Alva and his band Chicken Noodle Project, Early Morning Rebel, Ida Marie and Slash.
The MusiCares Foundation provides members of the music community programs and services for emergency financial assistance and addiction treatment services. The MusiCares MAP Fund allows members of the music community to have access to addition recovery treatment and sober living resources. The MusiCares Sober Touring Network provides members of the music community a database of individuals who can assist with finding support meetings while on the road.
This year’s event will partner with the life and times of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein. The vision and generosity of his mother Andrea Gross through the Memorial Fund created in his name, MusiCares will be receiving support to provide addition recovery services. This support recognizes both DJ AM’s profound contribution to the music industry and his commitment to sobriety.
Additional guests for the event include Jack McGee from The Fighter, DJ Moby, comedian Steve-o from Jackass and Kathy Valentine of the Go Go’s.
The event will take place at Club Nokia May 30, 2013 with the red carpet arrivals starting at 6:15 p.m. and the concert starting at 8:00 p.m
This event is alcohol free out of respect for the clients of MusiCares. General admission balcony seats are available for $40 per person through AXS at www.axs.com.
