Pacific Western Bank was robbed today at 10:46 am in the Pacific Palisades, homebase of The Surf Channel Television Network. An armed gunman described as wearing blue jeans, a blue polo shirt and wielding a black handgun fled the scene with $2,000.
Bank employees weren’t allowed to release any information to The Surf Channel, but police dispatch reported that the suspect fled on a bicycle. After the incident occurred, police surrounded the building and locked down the three nearby elementary schools, which have since been released.
The investigation continues as LAPD and FBI search for the suspect.
