Professional big wave charger, Jeff Rowley has signed with Torquay based surf shops Strapper Surf as a support sponsor. The Bells Beach local is currently in Maui, Hawaii preparing for the Red Bull Jaws Big Wave Invitational.
“Strapper is way stoked to support Jeff’s efforts to be one of the World’s elite Waterman and Big Wave surfers and also support a local Surf Coast Victorian surfer having a crack on the World stage!”-Strapper Surf’s Torquay Shop and Team Manager Dylan Shultz.
Rowley has earned himself a 2013 Finalist Australian Surfing Awards ‘Waterman of the Year’ nomination through honing his big wave skills along The Great Ocean Road and Bells Beach, the winner to be determined later this month. His main goal is to paddle surf the biggest waves in the world as he remains a part of a small band of elite surfers that are chasing these unbelievably heavy swells.
“I’m stoked to be sponsored by Strapper Surf – every time I’m back home, I get all the gear I need for my surf trips and talk story with all the boys. We’ve got a big year planned – I’m on strike missions to hunt down some of the biggest paddle-in waves in the world” –Jeff Rowley (AUS)
