Garrett McNamara has done it again, beating his own world record for the largest wave surfed – and caught on camera to prove it. Watch the courageous Hawaiian native take on a massive, possibly 100ft wave in Nazaré , Portugal yesterday in historic conditions. The surf industry continues to speculate the size of the wave because of the difficulty of measuring swells at this size. Check out CNN’s video and decide for yourself:
“It was just this endless drop and my feet were popping out of the straps,” McNamara told CNN‘s Anderson Cooper. “It was like my whole body was shattering. It was really difficult.”
