ASP World Tour surfer and 2012 US Open of Surfing champion, Lakey Peterson, is the star of a new Lieber Vision film called, “Zero to 100: The Lakey Peterson Story.” With an expected release at the end of January, the film is an inspirational story about making dreams come true. Established surf filmmaker, Aaron Lieber, follows the Santa Barbara native around the world as she prepares for her rookie year on the World Tour. At a time when women’s surfing is gaining a lot of momentum, Lakey is able to shine a light on the future of the women’s industry. With scenes shot from some of the most beautiful surf spots in the world, Lieber explains, “it’s a true story that will leave you laughing, crying, and doing push-ups by the end.” With never-before-seen interviews, viewers are given an intimate look into the life of Lakey, and her unfaltering drive.

Discovered at age 14 after completing the first female areal in professional competition, Lakey shines a bright light on where the female surf industry is heading. With footage from Lakey’s early life right through to her 2012 win at the Nike US Open of Surfing, we are given an intimate window into her heart and soul and what drives Lakey to win on the waves and off. From Lakey’s surfing to her philanthropic work, “Zero to 100” is an inspiring true story for people of all ages.
