Introducing Easkey Britton, the first woman to surf the warm waters of Iran. Britton paddled out at one of Chah Bahar’s beautiful beaches located in the Gulf of Oman. Though it was difficult to keep her hair covered during her session, the young Irish athlete didn’t let anything stop her from making history for female athletes. The Brittons don’t seem to be new at pioneering aspects of the sport after being the first surfing family in Ireland. Easkey’s list of accomplishments are constantly flourishing being the first Irish athlete to charge the unforgiving Teahupo’o, Tahiti, the first woman to tow surf and paddle Aileens, first woman to tow surf Outer Reefs and first woman to tow surf Mullaghmore. Watch the beautiful clip below as Easkey Britton dives deep into the culture of Iran while pioneering female surfing.
