Looking to savor the last few weeks of sunshine and clear skies? San Fransisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival presented by Noise Pop & Another Planet, will be an epic weekend of incredible sets in the heart of the San Francisco Bay, October 13th and 14th. Not only is the festival hosting some of the biggest names in indie music, but an electric mix of art and performers will be visible as well.
The Silent Disco presented by Sony Music Unlimited will have a live DJ spinning all day and night so everyone gets a personal show. Treasure Island sits between the city and the wine country, on a small island just large enough for you and thousands of your closest friends to rage all weekend long. With the San Fransisco Bay as the back drop along with a sick set-list, this is definitely a festival worth making time for after catching some Norcal swell.
Artists such as Youth Lagoon will be taking the stage. Featured in surf videos, as shown below, they have a very intimate and dream-like vibe. With simple melodies on the keyboard and guitar, this Boise native is bound to leave an impression.
Shot and edited by Andrew Schoener at the Queen of the coast. Featuring music from “Cannons” by Youth Lagoon.
Also taking the stage is Best Coast, an American surf pop band from L.A. Formed in 2009, the band consists of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno. Inspired by bands such as Bob Dylan and The Beach Boys, Best Coast does an accurate job of maintaining that “California sound.”
