Californian World Tour surfer Lakey Peterson, currently #7 in the ASP’s Women’s World Championship Tour rankings, was practically raised in the water. Her mother, a former Olympic swimmer, competed in a Triathlon while eight months pregnant with her. Lakey has taken to the ocean ever since, which is shown through her effortless attack on surfing. With one of the strongest sections of Nike’s 6.0 “Leave A Message” movie, Lakey reveals the progression of women’s surfing with her powerful carves and innovative aerial maneuvers, along with some of the top women surfers in the world. On Friday, the talented 17-year-old was also featured on an episode of ABC’s “Shark Tank” reality television show.
Lakey’s episode of “Shark Tank” aired on ABC Friday night, September 21st. The reality show is on its fourth season and picking up speed. It allows up and coming business owners to go head to head with the top investors in the world. Lakey is acting as the spokesperson a professional athlete for SurfSET Fitness, which is a fitness program tailored to the movements of a surfer. A device with similar proportions to a surfboard is stabilized by your core muscles, without any electrical power required.
All the Shark investors were hungry for a piece of the profits, eager to invest in the SurfSET Fitness program, concluding with a good endorsement for the business owners and a successful episode for the surfing entrepreneurs and fitness experts.
