The People’s Movement focuses on using recycled and organic materials in the making of their products. The shoes not only look rad, they are made with organic cotton canvas, water-based glues, natural dyes, and nickel free eyelets.
Their Clean Act Collection is a response to the plastic bags polluting the islands of Bali and up-cycles them into reusable totes and fabrics. With every pair sold from the Clean Act Collection, they donate $1 to The Plastic Coalition, a group dedicated to stopping plastic pollution and its toxic impacts on humans, animals and the environment.
“It’s not just where you are going, but how you get there that counts. Believe in what you wear and make sure it stands for something. We stand for ideas that lead to positive change and partner with grass root groups struggling to get these messages out. We stand for using organic, recycled and re-purposed materials in our products wherever possible and are constantly searching for the better option. We stand for “look good, do good, feel good.’ Join the cause and start a MOVMT.” – TPM
