A little north of the LA County Line, families and old-school surfers are coming together for the Aloha Beach Festival-a celebration of surfing, aloha spirit, and Southern California heritage. The event is in honor of Chipper “Bro” Bell-surf instructor, 12 time world frisbee champion and Patagonia representative. The two day festival will be held at Surfers Point in Ventura, just west of the pier.
Admission is FREE. The festival will include freestyle freesby, K-9 freesby competitions, surfing, canoe competitions, and all day live music. There will also be local food venders and a beer garden. Over the years, the event has become an anticipated end of summer bash for locals as well as visitors.
Chipper “Bro” has been heard describing the event as, “Everyone is happy, brown, and broke”. Sounds good to us.
